In a new iteration, Tabayer's signature Oera motif is reimagined in nuanced shades of red, yellow, blue, and green. For the first time, Tabayer uses hard stones and semi precious gemstones—blue chalcedony, red jasper, carnelian, yellow agate, and green agate—inaugurating its journey into new materials and finding new forms of expression and representation for the traditional amulet.
In Oera Edition 04, the journey into new materials remains faithful to Oera's voluminous and sculptural designs. Inspired by the ancient Inanna's knot, the asymmetric motif evolves into a double coil design, highlighting the neck, ears, and fingers with harmonious asymmetry. Hand-carved stones, 18k Fairmined gold, sapphire, and diamond pavé gently curve together to manifest the essence of duality at the core of the Tabayer ethos.
Each stone is chosen for its spiritual aura—carnelian, with its fiery orange and red hues, represents vitality and passionate aspects of life, including love and desire; yellow agate is associated with physical and spiritual wealth, evoked by the color of gold; blue chalcedony is believed to provide peace of mind and clarity; while green agate represents new beginnings, promoting growth, transformation, and rebirth.
The key piece of Oera Edition 04 is the statement necklace—crafted meticulously from 18k Fairmined gold, embellished with sapphire and diamond pavé, while red jasper stones form an arch that elegantly caresses the base of the neck. The signature design language extends to the Oera bracelets, rings, and earrings in the coil version, while the cut-out version of earrings and rings introduces a new take on gender-fluid jewelry, perfect for stacking or worn on their own. The pendant, in globe version, is a delicate reinterpretation of an everyday amulet.
Tabayer continues to redefine the boundaries of fine jewelry, blending traditional techniques with innovative designs to create pieces that boldly reconcile the classical amulet with a modern light.
