On place

I learned to constantly adapt to places and cultures. Growing up as a German Persian girl first in Ghana, then in France, and later in Germany taught me to be curious and open-minded. All these different places, cultures, and impressions helped me in defining my own identity. I identify with places that have marked a moment in my life and I deeply identify with my parents' birthplaces. Germany and Iran. Equally.

On guiding principles

Being inclusive, open, and curious. I’ve had these principles since my childhood, and I found they’ve become fundamental when I started working as an editor.
